Living Values Program:
Our Living Values Program is integrated into our environment, curriculum, and entire school programming. The integration of this program into all areas of school life provides a safe and respectful atmosphere for optimal learning, and personal development, enhancing a deeper experience and understanding of 12 universal values: Peace, Respect, Responsibility, Unity, Happiness, Freedom, Tolerance, Love, Cooperation, Simplicity, Humility, and Honesty.
Students:
Our students:
- Are of average or above intellectual potential and have no on-going behavior or emotional issues that would interfere with the instuctional program for themselves or for other students.
- Come from over a dozen surrounding communities, some of which provide busing to and from school.
- Are admitted without regard to race, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin.
Class Sizes:
Pre-school 3-year olds: 8 to 1 ratio
Pre-school 4-year olds: 10 to 1 ratio
Lower School (K-2): current average of 13.5 with maximum of 16 students
(3-4): current average of 11 with maximum of 18 students
Middle School (5-8): current average of 9.6 to 12 with maximum of 22 students
Special Area Classes:
Computer/Technology, Drama, Health, Library, Music, Physical Education, Public Speaking and Debate, Foreign Languages (Spanish and French), Select Chorus, Visual Arts, and Yearbook.
Clubs:
Concert Band, Book Club, Knitting, Newspaper, Peer Mentoring, Reading Buddies, School Store and Snack Stand, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Gardening, Art Clubs, Garden Club, School Spirit Squad, Rock Ensemble, Yearbook, Athletic Club,Run for Fun, and Odyssey fo the Mind team.
Inter-Scholastic Sports:

Our graduates have been accepted at the following secondary schools: Burke Academy (VT); Canterbury, The Gunnery, Harvey School, Hotchkiss, Institute for Collaborative Education (ICE-NYC); The Gunnery, Immaculate High School, John F. Kennedy, Kent School, Marvelwood School, The Masters School, Millbrook School, Oakwood Friends School, Loomis Chaffee, Our Lady of Lourdes, Northfield Mount Hermon,Poughkeepsie Day School, The Putney School, South Kent School, Trinity-Pawling, Westover, and Wooster School. Our first graduating class has recently graduated from high school and earned acceptance to the following post-secondary institutions: Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Loyola College (MD), Northeastern University, Saint Joseph University (PA), SUNY Cobleskill, and Western Connecticut State University.
